Well, guys, we have officially made it to 2019, and I have to admit, 2019 has not been good to me so far. But at least, it’s only been 2 days and not 2 months. HA! I have somehow contracted the “funk” and I have been on the border of OD-ing on Theraflu. *Sigh*
Anyways, I wanted to share with you all some of my goals for 2019. I don’t like to necessarily call them “resolutions,” but more of goals. That way if I don’t meet my goals, I won’t feel like a total failure. I also have decided to only limit myself to 3 main goals for the year. Sure, I have much smaller goals monthly, but these goals are what I consider to be large and or broad. I am not going to try and overwhelm myself in 2019 and I suggest you do the same. Let’s try to make this year our best yet by focusing a little more on self love.
So, let’s get started!
- Incorporate more fitness into my daily routine.
Notice how I didn’t say how many times a week or give myself a time limit. Previously over the years I used to say “I want to
- Eat healthier.
Again, no pressure. If I choose to have dessert over dinner, then so be it. Life is all about balance and moderation, right? Just recently, I decided that instead of killing an entire bottle of wine every other night, I would limit myself to 1 to 1.5 glass a night. That way I wouldn’t feel like absolute crap the next day and be useless at work and plus, my wallet wouldn’t hate me so much.
- Read more books!
Fun Fact: I was an English major when I graduated college last year! It really is not a lie when people say “You will never use your degree.” However, here I am proving them all wrong by writing this blog post and creating creative captions for my Instagram posts! HA! During college, I would read a book every two weeks just for my major, and honestly, I miss it. I love to read and get lost into a fantasy world, so I would like to incorporate that into my goals for this year. Besides, I truly hate waiting 7 days for another episode of Dirty John, Scientology: The Aftermath, and or Ghost Adventures. What can I say? I am a binger.
What are your goals for 2019? Let me know in the comments 🙂
