Welp, it’s official. My boyfriend and I have purchased my soccer mom car! HA! JK! It’s more like a Bad Ass SUV!
Last weekend I had the privilege of partnering with Southern Ford Dealers / Ford to drive in style up to Charleston, SC and back home. I picked up the the SUV on Wednesday night last week and dropped her off on Monday. I have to say that I was a little sad to give the keys over to the service leader. For this collaboration we were able to drive all the way to Charleston, SC, around the city and then back home.
We really needed something large enough to sit 6 ladies and fit all of our luggage. I am not going to lie, I was a little nervous that not all of the luggage would fit but I was shocked when I saw the tailgate lower and then latch. Not only did it fit all of us comfortably with the second and third row seating but the third row actually breaks apart and we were able to shove the rest of our luggage up by the third seat rider.
I don’t know about you, but I am definitely one of those girls who does most of their make-up in the car. It’s just more practical for me since I value my beauty sleep. The center console was large enough that I was able to fit my whole make-up bag, my purse that I was carrying and all of my sunglasses (4) in the console. It was literally the largest center console I had ever seen!
Not only did it fit us and our luggage, but the car came with satellite radio so that way we never had to find a station through the static or find another when a commercial came on. It also had turn-by-turn navigation which was a lifesaver since holding your phone while driving is now highly illegal. Talk about the best vehicle for a road trip! The SUV drove so smoothly even a few girls were able to take a nap on the way home.
Some of my other favorite features include:
Wireless Car Charger
Sun roof that opens for the first part of the cab
Glass roof that extends through the second cab
Touch Screen Navigation
Heated Seats and Cooling features (yes, we used both in Charleston)
Dual Temperature Control
Surround Camera (I didn’t find out until after I had parallel parked *face palm*)
Power Folding Side Mirrors
Not only were we driving in style and, let’s face it, luxury but safely. With a four hour drive ahead of us, everyone wanted to be as comfortable and secured as possible. Some of the safety features that the Expedition has to offer:
Rear View Camera
Airbags throughout the vehicle
Tire Pressure Monitoring System
Keyless Entry System
The girls and I can’t thank Southern Ford Dealers / Ford enough for letting us take this Bad Ass Soccer Mom car to Charleston for the weekend! If you are ever in the market for a new vehicle head to your local Ford Dealership and get a test drive!
Thank you for following along with us! We can’t wait to show you where we are headed to next and what Ford vehicle we will be in 🙂
